TCR State Convention

Planning has begun for the 2009 Convention of the Texas College Republicans, to be held March 28, 2009 in Austin, Texas.

The convention will take place in E2.002 A-C Legislative Conference Center in the Texas State Capitol Annex, sponsored by Rep. Myra Crownover (HD-64). Set-up for exhibitors will begin at 9 AM, as well as the State Executive Board meeting; the convention will convene at approximately 10 AM and last until 2 PM. Lunch will be catered and provided for all registered participants.

On the agenda are officer elections, constitutional amendment votes, and regional caucuses. TCR has asked Chairman Michael Williams, Republican candidate for the U.S. Senate, to be the convention's keynote speaker (confirmation pending). All other Republican candidates for the U.S. Senate have been asked to speak as well.

Iraq War veteran and Vets for Freedom founder Knox Nunnally, YRNetwork.com founder Moshe Starkman, and TX SCREC member Mark McCaig have been confirmed as speakers. Exhibitors will include the Texas Young Republican Federation, the Texas Federation of Republican Women, and many more.

Final agenda, hotel location, and recreational activities are pending and will be posted as soon as they are completed.
